GIRL EMPOWERMENT LA is designed to provide a safe space for teen girls to:

  • explore identity

  • build self-esteem

  • discover positive role models

  • imagine the future

Creative arts strategies are utilized including:

  • collage

  • assemblage

  • bookmaking

  • photography

  • poetry

  • journaling

The eight to ten-week 60-minute program can take place in:

  • a multi-purpose room

  • music room

  • art room

  • any location that can accommodate long tables

Students evolve as they:

  • learn to recognize their strengths by celebrating their individuality

  • develop their voices

  • consider smarter decision-making as it relates to school, relationships, and community.

The ideal class size is 8-15 students with pricing based on the number of class weeks plus the cost of materials. We prefer classes to be scheduled during the school day, but after school is an option.

For non-profit organizations or agencies, we can work with you to design a plan that meets your scheduling and programmatic needs.
